1933 - 2015

Late Shri Ramswaroop ji Panchariya started his carrier in Solapur-Maharashtra, India. In 1968, After the successful establishment of the Textile business in Solapur, he handed over command of that business to his younger brothers and migrated to Ahmedabad-Gujarat(India). He chose Ahmedabad because Ahmedabad was known as the “Manchester of India” during that time period. Since he gained experience in the textile business and his established connections and links with power loom, manufacturers of Ichalkaranji - Maharastra, were motivated to start a Textile Agency Business in Ahmedabad-Gujarat, India. 

 

In the year 1968, He established a textile trading & Agency company by the name of "Panchariya Brothers Textile Agency" as a proprietor firm. In a short period with his business acumen, he became well-known and established his reputation & position as the number one textile agent in Ahmedabad-Gujarat, India. 

 

When his three children joined the textiles business 1) Mr. Satish R Panchariya, 2) Arun R Panchariya, and 3) Ashok R Panchariya then he gradually took retirement from the family business i.e. year 1996. 

 

After taking retirement from business, he started to give most of his time to the community & society. In the year 1998 - January, Mr. R B Panchariya was anonymously elected as President of “All India Gujar Gaud Brahmin Maha Sabha”, and in the year 1999, he was elected as chairman of Kuber Co-operative Bank Limited, Ahmedabad.

 

He was very actively involved in charities and raising funds for charity organizations. During his tenure with “All India Gujar Gaud Brahmin Maha Sabha”, he reformed many ashrams and dharmshala as well as sponsored many key social events for society-communities i.e. Bhagwatiji Katha Saptah, Samuh Lagna(group marriage), scholarship grants for Sanskrit educations etc...

 

Mr. Panchariya had been Honoured on many occasions and he earned highest respect in society.
